MSC Thought of the Week:

“The Christian religion is a work of love in its beginning, development and end. Its history is found wholly and entirely in that sublime statement, “God so loved the world.” – Jules Chevalier

Raising funds for our Missions:

Congratulations to Mr. Ben White who won the 10kg block of chocolate. Thankyou also to all students who dressed up prior to Melbourne Cup and brought money to help our Missions.

Following up from the chocolate raffle, each year level is running their own activities which will finish next week.

Celebration of the life of Jules Chevalier:

October 21st was the anniversary of the death of Father Jules Chevalier, the founder of the MSC. Our Year 11 students put together a lovely liturgy online for the school to watch during liturgy time. Feel free to watch this on the link https://youtu.be/8UIUng7l5pM

Year 11 Retreat:

Under Covid compliant conditions, our Year 11 cohort, and staff, participated in a later than usual retreat at Halls Gap last week. The sessions were set up to get the students thinking about where they fit in the bigger picture, and also helped them begin to focus on next year.

The Year 11 students had a fantastic experience, with feedback suggesting they thoroughly enjoyed the experience. One student added “thank you for this retreat. It has been one of the best experiences for me. I have gotten closer to so many….”

Upcoming Events:

  • Year 12 Graduation Nov 27th
  • End of School liturgy Dec 4th

May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be everywhere loved.
