Years Three/Four News

In Year 3/4 we have been learning about summarising. Students have been working on identifying the important events of a text and making sure they are in order from Beginning, Middle and End. To help students extend their understanding of what they have read, we have been using a "Sketch to Stretch" reading response where students add illustrations to the important events of the story. This helps students cement their understanding and can assist them to summarise what has happened in the text.
