Parents and Carers Association (PCA)

Welcome to Term 2! We are certainly starting with a bang with no less than three PCA events taking place in the first 2-weeks of the term!

FUNDRAISING & COMMUNITY EVENTS - TERM 2

Gratitude Stall - Mother's & Carer's Day

Thursday 11 May, before lunch

Volunteers will be called next week to help set up and manage the stall for the morning so keep an eye on Compass for the call-out.

Mother's and Carer's Day Lunch

Friday 12 May, from 12:00 noon at Middle Baths, Brighton.

This event sold out within 3-hours of the tickets going on sale! We are delighted to say that despite Mums/Carers missing out on tickets initially and joining the waitlist, all 25 on the event waitlist have now had access to tickets!

We are looking forward to a terrific event and will be selling raffle tickets on the day. With thanks to Mecca, Bungalow Trading Co., Bega, Hey Tiger, Strong Nation, and Wanderlust Australia for their generous donations.

EPS v Port Melbourne Primary School AFL Match

Friday 2 June, from 5:00pm, Oval TBC

The EPS AFL Footy Team will be playing Port Melbourne Primary in a friendly match like last year!

To get involved, please call:

James Rosengarten on 0403 132 541‬

(Dad to Dylan in Prep and Riley in Year 3).

FUNDRAISING & COMMUNITY EVENTS - TERM 1

On the last day of Term 1, the PCA hired Cinema 1 at Classic Cinema Elsternwick to show The Super Mario Bros Movie; all 266 seats in the cinema were sold and kids and parents/carers had a terrific afternoon and agreed it was an excellent way to end the term and roll into Easter!

With thanks to Gesche Williams (Prep and Year 6 Mum) for all her organisation. $800 was raised through ticket sales.

CLASS REPRESENTATIVES & CLASS WHAT'S APP GROUPS

Thank you to all the parents/carers who have stepped into the Class Rep role for each class. It has been a tremendous way to get fast communications out to the community and remind them about events, and key school messages and we hope you have all enjoyed the Class/Cohort drinks that have been arranged by your Class Reps.

If you have not yet joined your class/cohort What's App group we would encourage you to do so, so you don't miss out! Please see Britt in the School Office for the relevant link.

PCA ACTIVITIES THIS TERM

EPS CHICKENS

Our chickens continue to thrive and are lovingly cared for by school families. We are averaging 3-4 eggs per day which have been delicious!

If you would like to participate in collecting eggs and keeping the chickens fed and watered for 1-week a Semester, please add your name to the Chicken Roster here.

WHOLE SCHOOL KEY DATES CALENDAR

Don't forget that we now have a 'one-stop-shop' for all key dates for the year; it includes all school holidays, curriculum days, community and fundraising events, and when the kids need to be dressed in PJ's, footy colours, or their favourite book character!
