Oval Progress

After what felt like a lifetime of waiting our luscious grass was finally rolled out on the last day of Term 1. There is still a little to be done including light posts, installation of goal posts and new nets and a general tidy up of surrounding areas. Whilst works continue the grass is establishing ready for our students to enjoy in the not to distant future!

The Green Zone

The external landscaping works commenced over the holidays and we are seeing steady progress now. Large doors should go in any day now and soon the inside will be complete and ready for us to move back in to whilst external works are completed.

The Student Bathrooms

With designs complete the VSBA tender for our project has now gone out to tender to 5 building companies. We await responses over the next 4-6 weeks and then the evaluation process will take place to determine who will be appointed.

Djeembana Garden

With a little inspiration from Lynne Sidebottom, grandparent of Angus and Elise C, and the practical help of our gardener Nick, we are planning to rejuvenate the Indigenous Djeembana Garden at the Cochrane Street end of the school. Many hands make light work so if anyone is interested in helping us do some weeding and planting please e-mail Danielle - danielle.moore3@education.vic.gov.au

The front entry to the school

We have another smaller project in planning to repair and beautify the front entry to the school. Improvements will include new path, garden beds and repairs to drainage, stormwater as well as a portion of new traditional style fencing on Murphy street. We are looking for a fencing contractor who will do smaller jobs so if you know anyone, please send their details through to Danielle.

Paths at the year 3/4 area

Another small project in the making is to create new garden beds and pedestrian paths from the Murphy street gate behind the Year 3 /4 area up to the deck and from the Gym footpath across to the year 3/4 area. This will reduce muddy foot traffic and beautify the area.

More updates coming soon!
