Mrs Kate Mowat

Premiers' Reading Challenge

Has commenced for 2023 and runs throughout Term 2 and 3, concluding on Friday 8 September.  Teachers have sent home a letter, instruction guide and your student log in details (letter and instructions are also uploaded on our School Website library page).

Every book your child reads can be entered into their PRC account.  Teachers will be entering books read during classtime too!  To obtain a Premiers' Reading Challenge certificate: Foundation-Year 2 must read (or experience ie listen to) 30 books and Year 3-6 must read 15 books - so this is an achievable task and one designed to simply support a love of reading for pleasure.

There are thousands of books in our library with challenge labels on the spines for children to borrow.  You will most likely have challenge books at home too - all books are searchable on your student PRC dashboard.

We will update everyone at our school assembly on the current book tally and acknowledge our star performers!  If you experience any problems logging in or getting started please contact me and I will be only too pleased to assist.

Library Website

library.langwarrinparkps.vic.edu.au is our Library search website listing every single book on our shelves along with Clickview videos.  Instructions on how to log your child into this page are located on the home page, however families can browse without a login too.  In this space you can view your child/ren's current loans, loan history, write book reviews, reserve books, and create a reading list.  In the Quicklists tab is a Premiers' Reading Challenge tab which lists all the Challenge books in our library.  Have a look it's lots of fun!
