Important Parking Reminder at Oxford Falls

I would like to remind all parents and caregivers of being respectful of our neighbours at our Oxford Falls campus.

Please ensure that you follow road and parking rules in and around Dreadnought and Spicer Roads, including parking in appropriate areas and also following advised speed limits.

Northern Beaches Council Rangers have advised that they will be patrolling the area on all Saturdays throughout the winter season and booking any illegal parking.

Results 6 May

Congratulations on the way teams performed on the weekend, not all teams were victorious, but the manner and attitude with which players competed was commendable against a tough St Pat’s outfit.

This weekend there are many different venues so please check the times and locations along with the addresses in the sportsmasters section.

IMPORTANT: Please note for teams playing Central Coast Grammar (CCGS) that the venue is approximately 1hr and 5 min drive from Chatswood without traffic so please leave plenty of time.

Congratulations to Jack Nercessian, Michael Whitehead, Reef Farias, Ryan Jom, Riley Watt and Jasper Lindsell on being selected in the ISA Representative side to compete in the NSWCIS Championships.

Good luck to all teams playing this weekend.

Upon successful completion of this free online training course please do the following:

  • Students will receive their preliminary referee certificate automatically.
  • Please send a copy of this certificate to Mr Ben Ryan (Junior School Sports Coordinator) Bryan@stpiusx.nsw.edu.au and advise that your son would like to be part of the list of paid junior school referees who can coach junior school games at Oxford Falls. The SPX Football Supporters Club will provide a referee whistle for all boys who complete the course successfully and go on the junior school referee list.

ISA Tennis

We hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather last week as much as we did. It was a real treat to see our students demonstrate amazing sportsmanship both on and off the court, which made the games even more exciting!

I would like to give a big shoutout to Divisions 3, 5, 7, 10, and 11, who played some truly nail-biting matches, which accumulated in even sets and winners being decided on just a few game points! These matches certainly kept us all on the edge of our seats, and it was a real pleasure to watch them give it their all.

A notable mention to Mac Hillsdon and Ben Shoudra who made a fantastic doubles pairing at our home courts.

So, keep up the great work, and let's look forward to another fantastic round of tennis ahead!

This week:

  • Divisions 1, 4, 5, 10 will be playing Redlands at Home, Talus St
  • Divisions 3 & 7 will be playing Oxley at Home, Talus St
  • Division 8 will be playing St Andrews at Talus St
  • Division 2, 6, 9, 11 will be playing Redlands at Cammeray Tennis Club

A friendly reminder to email me prior to 8:00 am on Friday morning if your son is unavailable to play on a Saturday. Players can only be reserve twice in a season.

On Sunday 7 May, some of our SPX Cross-Country squad proudly represented our school wearing their blue and gold singlets and ran the Sydney 10 5k Fun Run. It was yet another excellent opportunity to prepare for our upcoming cross country competition.
