Music Learning Area News

Welcome to Term 2 for Instrumental Music! We have a number of events and performances coming up over the next month. Please remember to attend your ensemble rehearsals, and practice regularly at home so that you are well prepared! All instrumental students will be participating in the Winter Music Showcase where we look forward to sharing the progress of all our school ensembles. If you are involved in particular events, they will appear on Compass, and will require parent/carer permission. If you have any questions regarding the events below, please speak with your instrumental teacher or ensemble director.  

CHOIR INCURSION (for all Choir members)  - Thursday May 11th – Period 3 – 5pm – We will now conduct a recording session as part of this incursion. The choir will perform at the Winter Music Showcase.  

KEYBOARD and WOODWIND SOIREE 

(for keyboard and woodwind students) – Monday 15th May – 5pm in D01. 

VOICE and GUITAR SOIREE (for voice and guitar students) – Wednesday 17th May – 5pm in D01.  

WINTER MUSIC SHOWCASE (featuring all school ensembles) – Monday May 29th – 7pm in D01.  

Payments for Term 2 lessons will soon be available on Compass. I will notify families when payments can be made.  Please contact the general office should you have any questions regarding instrumental music fees.
