Maths Masterclasses

As we head towards the end of the year, the focus for Maths in Years One and Two is on revising, revisiting and consolidating the learning we have done throughout the year. As part of this, we have implemented our "Maths Masterclasses". Three times per week, students attend their Masterclass with children from other grades who are all working on the same goal, for some highly focused, point of need teaching.

Our Masterclasses are currently centred on addition, with a particular emphasis on developing efficient mental strategies and choosing the best strategy for a given problem. It has been very exciting to see many students already achieving their first goal and moving on to a new strategy. Why not ask your child to share the goal they have been working on?
