Principal's Report

Year 3 Cave Hill Creek Camp

It's been so wonderful to see our students back involved in our extensive camping program.  Our Year 3 students are enjoying Cave Hill Creek this week and next week our Year 4 students will head off to Camp Wyuna in Queenscliff.

There is so much growth and meaningful experiences for the students to enjoy on camps, and they have been truly missed over the past 18 months until now.

Thank you to our parents for supporting this program and to our staff, who give many hours of unpaid overtime to ensure our students gain such an experience.

I was fortunate to attend Monday & Tuesday of the current camp and re-connect with our students that have missed so much school time recently.  I've included a sneak peak of some experiences with some photos below.

School Council

Next Monday 15th November is our next General Meeting of school council.  We also have our sub-committee meetings prior to the General Meeting which will begin at 7:00pm.

Current Roadmap

It is great to be seeing a way forward, in relation to schooling as restrictions continue to ease for schools.

Excitingly, we get to welcome families back onto our new school site.  It feels like we've had the rug pulled from under us with our amazing new expanded site - ie not being able to enjoy all it offers as a wider community.

I am looking forward to some forthcoming community events, where we can all safely gather to celebrate.

Our formal school opening will be planned at our next School Council meeting and we can't wait get together for what will be one of the most significant events in our school/community history.

I am now optimistic our Presentation Evening will be celebrated together and not virtually too, which is most exciting.

Please stay posted for updates as they can be confirmed.

Remembrance Day

We look forward to commemorating Remembrance Day, tomorrow, Thursday 11 November by observing a 1 minute silence throughout the school at 11am.

I acknowledge the First Peoples of the Wathaurong, who are the traditional custodians of the land and waters on which I work and live, and pay my respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
