Our Lutheran Community Care collection finishes tomorrow (Friday). Thanks to the many families who contributed to an amazing collection of games, toys, books and groceries which will be sent to benefit needy families in our community.

Lost Property
Please take the time to look through the vast amount of lost property to claim what may belong to your family.
Unclaimed items will be disposed of at the end of term.
Please consider purchasing labels (see below), so clothing and food containers can be returned to the rightful owner.

Growing Faith at Home
How are your Christmas preparations going? Sometimes it is a little tricky to remain focused amid all the other ‘things’ that clamour for you time and attention. Advent is a time for preparing for Jesus’ first arrival, his birth in Bethlehem. But it is also a time when Christians look forward to the time when Jesus will return. The GFH resource offers some great ideas for you to explore as a family. The Service Key makes some suggestions regarding how you might bless others too! Baking biscuits… some for your family, some to give away. Perhaps you might locate Israel /Bethlehem on a world map and pray for peace in that region. Write an encouraging note to a friend that you haven’t heard from in a while.
There are heaps of other Pre-Christmas/ Advent ideas with the ‘Christmas Family Faith Trail’. There are activities for pre-school and primary children as well as people of all ages! Check out the attachment or if you prefer a hard copy, just ask! There are some already printed and available in the front office! Plenty to do with holidays just around the corner!
