YEAR 7 & 8 ATHLETICS CARNIVAL
MR CHRIS JOYCE - SPORTS COORDINATOR
On Monday 6th December, the College conducted our Athletics Carnival at Ken Harrison Reserve. 80 students were in attendance and it must be said that all of those students were fantastic in their attitude and participation. I congratulate each and every student for their involvement, encouragement of others and effort. It made the day enjoyable for everyone.
Every student was able to compete in eight events, including the 100m, 400m, shot-put, discus, javelin, long jump and two novelty events, which were both very popular. Mr Hickmott’s frisbee throw competition was clearly enjoyed by all and Ms Bird’s “slippery slide” was a massive hit.
Results were recorded, both individually and as a team. Well done to the following students who finished “Top 5” in their group.

Huge congratulations to Woods House in being the overall winners on the day in a very close competition, where at different stages of the day, three out of the Houses spent time in the lead.
