Remote Learning

As part of their daily routine students have been given the link to Praying Each Day. This a terrific site produced by the De La Salle Brothers in the United Kingdom. It has a section called "Reflect and Pray". This is a wonderful resource that has a great story to reflect and apply to our own lives for each day of the year. The reflection ends with a typical Lasallian Prayer. This site also has a number of links to help maintain a faith life. This includes a collection of homilies from around the world for each Sunday of the year. These make for great reading over Lent and Easter especially given Sunday Mass is suspended as part of COVID-19 restrictions. The link to the site is Praying Each Day

Prayer for the Victims of COVID-19

There are and will be more victims of COVID19. This includes fatalities, illness, grieving, loss of work and general anxiety. We are called upon as a faith community to pray for all these people and the health service workers on the frontline. The following prayer resource is put out by the Jesuits. It may be helpful for prayer. The link is; COVID 19 Prayers

What's Happening at the Cathedral Parish

As you are aware congregations for worship at the Cathedral cannot take place as a restriction to limit the spread of COVID-19. Plans are being made and initiatives are being put in place to enable Church life to continue despite these uncertain times. Please read the attached letter from Father Roel our Parish Priest.

Lent

In all the confusion we need to remind ourselves that we are in Lent, the preparation for the great feast of Easter. I attach a letter fro Pope Francis regarding Lent.

A Lenten Message from Pope Francis. This week is the 5th Sunday of Lent. The readings are beautiful The following is a site where Mass readings can be accessed and more; Readings at Mass

‘I am the resurrection and the life.

If anyone believes in me, even though he dies he will live,

and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.

Do you believe this?
