Harmony Day

Harmony Day

Tuesday 21 March was Harmony Day. As a School we celebrated Harmony Day today. Harmony Day is a celebration of our cultural diversity – a day of cultural respect for everyone who calls Australia home.

Harmony Day is about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone. This follows on well with our early term activity "Every face has a place."

Students were invited to wear free dress, and bring a gold coin donation to raise money for Merkiniya, our World Vision Sponsor Child. It was great to see all the students' backgrounds and cultures represented in the wonderful array of outfits and colors.

Each student was invited to make a flag of the country of their cultural heritage and these flags will be joined to make one large collage. This collage will be displayed in the front office.
