Year 6 Camp

Warrnambool

Year 6 Warrnambool camp was a great time to get all the rowdy year 6’s out and about. We did so many fun activities while in Warrnambool, such as a high up walk in the Otway Treetops, going back in time to the 1800’s at Flagstaff Hill, and visiting Victoria’s biggest wind farm. The most popular activity we did was Flagstaff Hill. At Flagstaff Hill we learnt about the Loch Ard Shipwreck in their museum and learnt all about the only two survivors, Eva Carmichael and Tom Pierce. The most prized possession that survived the shipwreck was a ceramic peacock worth 4 million dollars, surviving with only a few scratches. Some other fun things we all enjoyed were hanging out in our cabins, visiting the beach and playing at the adventure playground. We all loved camp and wished we could have stayed longer, but once we got home we were so happy to see our loved ones and ready to come back to school. The trip to Warrnambool was so fun. Thank you to the teachers and Surfside Holiday Park for having us!
