I hope you have all had an enjoyable break. We have a busy term with many events ahead. When this Chatter comes out, I will by away with the Year 11's on the North West Tour. I’m sure we will be having a fun and challenging time.
Excursions, the School Ball and Country Week will all happen in this term and we will be farewelling many of our Year 12's. We will be encouraging students to make an extra effort to leave with the best qualifications they can. It can be a stressful time and we will support students in every way we can. We encourage you to contact us with any concerns or for information to help.
Many students have received a Youth Support wallet card before the school term break, to reinforce the message to seek help early and as required. The card was provided to us by the Wheatbelt Suicide Prevention Project, who also provided $2000 in funding for our recent Wellbeing and Culture Day. I’d like to take the opportunity to thank them again for all the assistance Holyoake in Northam has been providing us.
Eighty eight students were eligible for a Positive Culture reward at the end of Term 2 and enjoyed an ice cream of their choice. The great majority of these students have received zero Demerit Points all year - we thank them for their respect and effort in making the College an excellent place to be.
