Humanities Week and NAIDOC Week

Humanities Week and NAIDOC Week - Term 3 Week 1

Term 3 Week 1 sees us celebrating both NAIDOC and also the Humanities Learning Area. We have planned a range of exciting and interactive activities mostly based in the Hub.

On Monday we will be selling cupcakes in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flag colours ($4 cash) and playing a Sporcle challenge in the Hub Space. Tuesday we have a whole school assembly with special guests, along with viewing of “The Australian Dream” about Adam Goodes in the Hub Space at Lunch. Wednesday the film continues during lunch.

On Thursday we will showcase some native flavours with some inspired foods available in the food rooms, along with singing in traditional language in the Hub Space. We will also host a scavenger hunt.

Friday will be fun with a Lion Dance performance and also an opportunity to paint and decorate Boomerangs in the Hub Space. Each day we will also have an assortment of quizzes and games to participate in.
