Term 3 Events and Activities

We are only a couple of weeks into Term 3 and have already had so many fun and interesting events and activities.

NAIDOC Week Assembly

Our Friday assembly had a NAIDOC Week focus.  Students from Grade 6 shared about the purpose of NAIDOC and this year's theme.  We remembered our work with Wanyara group last term.  Students listened to a reading of 'Our Home Our Hearbeat' by Adam Briggs. It's important that our students have an awareness and understanding of the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Grade 3 and 4 Hoop Time

Grade 3 and 4 had a great day at Hoop Time.  Lots of great matches and fun.  Thanks to all the parents who helped volunteer.  It was great to have this very popular event back after a few years of cancellations.

Prep - Firefighters Visit

Our Prep students are inquiring into community helpers.  They were very excited when the firefighters visited the school.  Students got to ask questions, tour the truck and, most importantly, have a turn of the hose.

Grade 1 - Chesterfield Farm

Grade 1 had a very chilly but fun day at Chesterfield Farm this week.  As part of their 'How we organise ourselves' unit of inquiry, they are inquiring into how processes are followed to meet our needs.
