Beechworth Bakery Student Fundraiser Event

On Saturday 19th October, Beechworth Bakery is holding an event to celebrate their 40th Birthday. Our 4/5/6 students were asked if they wanted to create a fundraising committee to organise a stall for the day. We have had a great number of students put their hand up to organise the event and planning has commenced. 

The vision of this committee and event is to give the students an opportunity to work in teams, to have ownership of things they want for their school, to learn about the roles and responsibilities of committee members, to look at goal setting and budgeting, to have the satisfaction of working towards something and seeing it come to life and give them more of an insight of what their parents do year in and year out for their school and other community groups. 

The stall will be selling playdough, friendship bracelets and one other item the students are deciding on, there will also be token gifts and activities for children available. All items will be made at school. On the day students will be running the stall with the assistance of two staff members. As it is a Saturday event, we have asked the students to create a roster of who would like to attend the stall, more information and permission slips will be sent home with those who wish to participate. This is also a fantastic opportunity to showcase our wonderful school community to the Beechworth community.
