NDIS Navigator

Libby Anderson

The new NDIS Act came into effect on 3 October 2024

Some changes will start right away, while others will come a bit later.

A key update is the new definition of NDIS supports, which makes it clear what NDIS funding can and cannot be spent on. Participants will only be able to use their NDIS funds for items listed as approved supports. Detailed lists of these supports are now available on the NDIS website: Changes to NDIS legislation | NDIS.

I've also attached some documents in both detailed and easy read versions below:

Update to myGov sign in options

On 18 October 2024, the NDIA will remove the secret question and answer sign in option to linked myGov accounts. All NDIS participants, nominees and child representatives who currently sign in to myGov using secret question and answer, need to update their sign in options in myGov before this date.

More information can be found on the NDIS Website.
