This week, students from our secondary section had the exciting opportunity to participate in both overnight and day camp experiences at Blackwood Outdoor Education School. These events were designed to foster teamwork, resilience, and a connection with nature.
Students who attended the overnight camp participated in a range of fun, engaging activities including night time archery, rock climbing, zip lining, hut building and bush cooking. The group also enjoyed games such as giant fuse ball, pin ball and 'Guess Who!'.
On Tuesday, students and staff were joined by secondary and transition students and staff for a day trip visit. Students participated in bush walk lead by Blackwood Camp educators where they were able to learn about native plants and animals while navigating through the surrounding bushland. Afterwards students and staff enjoyed lunch together before heading back to school on the bus.
These programs not only developed students appreciation for the outdoors but also fostered friendships as they connected through many shared experiences. We look forward to more camp adventures in the future!
