Blackwood Day Excursion 

This week I had the pleasure to drive the bus for the secondary extended day camp to Blackwood camp. This is part of the Blackwood Special Schools Education Centre. This camp operates as an outdoor education school and is a campus of Frankston Special Developmental School. Students from many specialist schools across Victoria attend camps and outdoor programs at this centre. The activities and facilities are designed to meet the interests and needs of all students who attend.

On Tuesday a group of 8 students and 6 staff travelled to Blackwood for the day where we joined our group of campers and staff who are attending the 2 night/3 day camp. 

Students enjoyed a bush walk followed by lunch and some afternoon activities at the camp playground. On the journey to and from camp, students enjoyed socialising on the bus as well as reading signs along the way, checking the route on Google Maps and seeing the city from the Westgate and Bolte bridges.  It was lovely to see our students participate in and enjoy all aspects of the day. Thank you also to the great staff team who supported our students so well!

World Teachers' Day

Wishing all of our teachers a very happy World Teacher's Day on October 25th. 

We have an amazing staff team at Croydon SDS who demonstrate every day their commitment and passion for providing an enriching, interesting and positive school experience for all of our students. This doesn't happen without effort and planning on the part of our teachers. We are proud of our staff at Croydon SDS and thank our teachers for all of the work they do to support our students and your children with their learning.

Student Support Group Meetings (SSG) Week

We look forward to meeting with all parents and carers during our SSG week. This term due to the Curriculum Day and Cup Day holiday, our SSG week will commence on Wednesday 6th of November and run through to Tuesday 12th of November. 

Our booking system on Compass will open soon for you to book in a time to meet with your child's classroom teacher. We will let you know when this is open.
