Years F & 1

Last week in maths we were looking at mass. Students had a go comparing the mass of different items in the class first by using hefting. Once we had practiced with them we used the balance scales. The students were given Play-Doh and they compared it to different items in the class. They had a great deal of fun. 

We read a story that gave the students clues about different insects and students were able to guess the animal. We then had a go at writing our own 'What am I?' They had to use adjectives to describe the animal. It was great to see the student's creativity and use fantastic sentences to explain their animal.
