VOCABULARY

Modality- Use to indicate when something is certain, possible or improbable.

In Persuasive reading, Modal language plays a crucial role in influencing the reader. Modal words are used to convince the reader of what must happen. Most can be sorted into: Low modality, Medium modality and High modality.
