Principal's Update

Caring Learning Growing: Every Child Every Day

 Dear Families,

This week has been a challenging one for many in our wider community.  We offer our thoughts and prayers to those affected by the fires and are incredibly grateful that SMJ families in the path of the fires remained safe.

As we begin the season of Lent, it is a timely reminder of the need to think of and offer service to others. Our CFA and community volunteers take the time to protect the homes and properties of so many people, we offer our gratitude and thanks to them.

Due to the weather, we were unable to share a pancake breakfast on Shrove Tuesday. This will be rescheduled to Friday recess next week.  We would still appreciate some help if you are available from 9.30 am.

Our first official Assembly was this morning with our wonderful student leadership team leading us. they did a fantastic job and many thanks to the families who joined us.

St.Brigid's College have tours available for 2025 Year 7 students. Gerard Raven, the Principal will show you around and show you all their wonderful school has to offer. I urge you to book a tour.

It has been a lovely week at school this week with so much learning and fun.

May your weekend be what you need it to be, and many blessings for the season of Lent.
