Principal's Message

Dear parents and guardians,

There have been quite a few opportunities this term to partner with you to grow our students together.  We have been adding events to our calendar that families can participate together in and learn a little bit about school life, get to know other families and  see how well their students are doing and supporting events so they can run effectively.

When volunteering in schools you need to have a working with children check https://service.vic.gov.au/services/working-with-children .  This is a quick free process that enables you to help out at school when required.  If you need assistance doing this please don’t hesitate to ask the office. 

In term 1 we have had, or will have, a number of opportunities to participate

• Parenting Course run through Banksia Gardens (Fully subscribed. If interested can put your name down on a waiting list for next course
• School council nominations and selection 
• Meet the teacher conferences . Its lovely to be able to spend time with you and share how our students are settling in and any information that will help them in their learning.  

Upcoming 

• Assemblies All welcome to see our wonderful student leaders lead our school assemblies, hear about students achievements and sometimes performances.
  Monday week 5, 26/2/2024, at 9 am.
  Harmony week Assembly Thursday afternoon 21/3/24, at 2.20 PM  We will be having a small performance by the students and awarding citizenship awards at this assembly.
  Spirit Day Assembly Monday 27/3/34 , at 9 am

Volunteers needed!!!!

• Community get togethers
  We will hold an RHPS Iftar on the 27th of March. This is where the community comes together to break fast during Ramadan.  Everyone in our community whether you observe Ramadan or not are welcome and more details will come out closer to the time.  We need a group of parents to help us out and plan the event and get the news out to everyone. (Please put your name down at the office and well arrange a get together to plan 
• On the last day of term we will be holding our annual colour run.  We need volunteers for the check points and to support the F-2 activities on the day.
