Student Celebrations...

So for the month of Feb Jacob participated in the Starlight super Swim in honour and memory of his Grandfather Andrew who passed in November. He too was a fond swimmer and contributed to community, environment and helping where he could. 

Jacob following in his footsteps nominated to swim the max of 16km for the month which was 23 laps (25km pool) a day. He also set himself a goal of 30km for the month and to fundraise $1000 Dollars for the charity. Balancing school, external sports, not feeling 100% some days and a trip to Tassy he managed to swim every day completing 32km and fundraising $1505. 

His last day in the pool was District School Swimming Sports where he also achieved a 1st in breaststroke, 1st in Backstroke, a 1st with his freestyle relay team and a 2nd with his medley relay team. We of course are very proud of Jacob who plans to do more in the future to help others in doing the things he loves.
