Monash Business School Luncheon
On Friday March 8th, Dunsin and Sitara attended the Monash Business School Luncheon at Hotel Chadstone to celebrate International Women’s Day. Guest speaker Mindy Woods, a renowned first nations chef and business owner with a passion for sharing native foods spoke about her drive to make these foods more accessible to Australians. Rochelle Courtenay is the founder of Share the Dignity and spoke about her passion behind creating the charity to support women across Australia. The room was filled with people from diverse industries and backgrounds. Dandenong High School was one of three schools invited to attend this luncheon.
Dunsin shares:
The day's highlight for me was meeting these amazing people in person, hearing their stories of how they got started by wanting a change to happen and tasting native plants, especially the finger lime. After attending the business lunch and hearing from these inspiring women I've gotten inspired to plant some native plants in my home garden and to get involved in helping women feel comfortable by donating sanitary and self-care items to my local library as part of the Share the Dignity collection drive.
