Staff Introductions

Amanda Hill

My name is Amanda Hill and I am lucky enough to be the Performing Arts teacher at St John’s primary school! I have been teaching for 10 years now, starting as a classroom teacher and moving into various specialist roles, after becoming a mum (I now have two daughters and have just become a school mum too!)

I absolutely love teaching Performing Arts, seeing the creativity, energy and joy in students, as they grow in confidence and explore their own talents. Last year’s production was an absolute highlight for me, the dedication, excitement and smiles on our students’ faces as they danced and sang on stage will always stay with me. This year, I’m looking forward to extending and growing our school Choir as we perform at various school functions and community events.

Allison Bayliss

My name is Allison Bayliss and I am currently teaching Year 5/6B. I am also the eLearning Leader for the school and have a real passion for digital learning tools and resources. I have been teaching since 1999, originally in my hometown of Wollongong on the South Coast of NSW. I spent the next 7 years living, teaching and travelling overseas, before I came to Melbourne in 2007.

My family and I have settled in the local area and love living here! It's so great being close to school and fun to see familiar faces out and about in the community. I love reading, when I get the chance and also enjoy drawing and visiting new places. I am looking forward to a great year ahead and getting to know my new class and their families.

Kim Wilson

Hello, my name is Kim and I am a Learning Support Officer in 1/2A.  I first started at St Johns in 2012. I have worked mainly in the junior and middle years.  I love working with all the children and seeing their growth throughout the year.

In my spare time I love going on holidays and sewing on weekends with my friends.  Last year I was very lucky to be able to go to Japan for 3 weeks and had the opportunity to have dinner with a Maiko. In my spare time I love knitting, crocheting, quilting and making things for my adorable grandchildren. I have three children and three grandchildren that I look forward to spending time with.

Melissa Dominguez Gallardo

Hello, I am Melissa and I work in the Prep classroom as a Learning Support Officer. This is my second year at St John's and I really enjoy working with the junior students. I have two children and I love spending time with my family, playing board games and going on walks. I also enjoy reading and listening to music from all over the world. On the summer holidays I was fortunate to spend time with my family in Peru.
