From the Principal

Week 4 Term 1 2024

Dear Parents and Carers

Athletics

Today our whole school participated in our annual athletics carnival.  A huge thank you to all the parents who offered their assistance for the day.  The children had a great day.  We have some wonderful athletes at St Bedes.

This year we moved the carnival from August to March in the hope we would get better weather and also to provide some training opportunities for those students who are picked  for our athletics team.

Think  u know

About 40 parents attended the cyber safety evening on Monday. It was a very informative  session and I know that all those in attendance were able to take new learnings away from the

evening. The discussion after was about what some of the emojis actually mean.

Thank you to Justin McFarlane who organised the guest speaker Kate

Reminder

Monday the 11th of March is a public holiday. There is no school on this day.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Eion in Yr 5 who has made it through to the next stage in swimming.  We look  forward to hearing how he progresses and wish him all the best.

Naplan

Naplan testing commences next week.  In fairness to all our Yr 3 and 5 students I ask that all children are at school by 8.45am.  This will ensure minimal disruptions. Further information about Naplan can be found in the deputy section of this newsletter.

Open Day

Our first Open day is next Wednesday. Please spread the word!!!  Dates and times can be found on our website.

Have a great week

Brian
