Specialists Wonga Weekly

Week 7, Term 1

STEM

After researching the needs of the homeless people in our community last week, we are moving to the next stage of the Design Process and applying our knowledge to create a solution that can help support people in need in our community. Students will aim to make their shelter design mobile; waterproof; safe; secure; warm; comfortable and easily packed up and set up.

Grade 5 and 6 students will take this even further to consider what other supports can we put in place that would not only assist our community’s immediate need but also help pull people out of homelessness long term.
