Captains' Corner

Hello everyone, we are Hana and Meghan. We were honoured to lead the College on Wednesday at the 2024 QGSSSA Swimming Championships as the 2024 Swimming Leaders. The team raced exceptionally, and we ended the night with 54 more points than 2023. The spirit was high the whole day with the spectators and new Clayfield Croc Squad cheering us on in the stands.

We would like to highlight some top performances: 

12 Years Medley Relay (2nd) - Fabienne Gri, Tea Sherman, Riley Taylor, Emily Blake

16 Years Medley Relay (3rd) - Mali Schwarz, Keira Coscarella, Meghan Guthrie-Quinn, Eleanor Myers

Fabienne Gri – 2nd 12 Years 50 Backstroke

Ema Costello – 3rd 15 Years 50 Backstroke

Meghan Guthrie-Quinn – 1st 16 Years 50 Breaststroke 

Tea Sherman – 1st 12 Years 50 Breaststroke

Hana Costello – 1st 17 Years and Over 50 Backstroke, 2nd Opens 100 Backstroke

We would like to thank the Friends of Sport, Ms Hughes and the Sports Department, and our coaches Cameron Keith, Shaun Crowe, Sam Sharp and Michael Gould. Without their support we could not have had such a successful night. Finally, we would like to thank all of the students for their dedication and commitment, showing up to training and doing their best on the night, we are so proud of you all.
