YEAR 9 

Last week we had our Year 9 Camp at Tinaroo Environment Education Center. This was an excellent opportunity for the fostering and development of new relationships with peers and staff at St Mary's. Students participated in a range of activities which included: crate stacking, rock wall, rogaining and kayaking. We hope all students had an excellent time and have recovered well over the weekend.  

There has been assessment occurring over the last couple of weeks and this will continue over this week. It is normal for young people to feel overwhelmed during this time.  Encourage them to develop effective organisation skills by using their diary to plan out their study. Please encourage them to be proactive and communicate with teachers if required.  

WEEK 8 & 9: We have NAPLAN approaching quickly taking place in Weeks 8 and 9. Please remind your child to ensure they have their laptop charged each night in preparation. 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

- Coordinated Practice NAPLAN test will be held on Tuesday, 12 March.

- No individual student results will be provided from Practice test.

  Students need wired earphones/headphones that work with their device      (cannot be Bluetooth).

- Students need a fully charged laptop each day (tests run for approx. 60 minutes  each).

- Any questions or concerns regarding student devices, contact IT support staff  on 4044 4231 or students can access support in C6 prior to the test days.
