YEAR 8

WEEK 7: KEY INFORMATION

LAST WEEK

In our SEL lesson last week, we focused on bullying and the importance of 'Making Connections.' The context of the lesson was when someone has many connections to people and places, they feel safe, happy and supported. The more connections they have, the better they are at coping with challenging situations in their life. Being connected and having people to talk to, or to ask for help, are great ways to prevent bullying.

THIS WEEK

There has been assessment occurring over the last couple of weeks and this will continue over this week. It is normal for young people to feel overwhelmed during this time.  Encourage them to develop effective organisation skills by using their diary to plan out their study. Please encourage them to be proactive and communicate with teachers if required.
