Attendance

The Victorian Department of Education requires schools to keep accurate attendance records for every student. As part of this requirement, all student absences must be explained by a parent or guardian. This helps the school ensure that every child is safe and accounted for during school hours.

If your child is absent from school for any reason—such as illness, an appointment, or family circumstances—please log in to your Compass Portal and provide an explanation for the absence as soon as possible. This allows the school to update our attendance records in line with Department of Education requirements.

If you need help using Compass or submitting an absence explanation, please contact the school office and we will be able to assist you.

Extended Family Holidays

Families planning extended holidays during the school term should be aware that as per DET policy these absences require prior written approval from the Principal. If you are considering travel during the school term, please email the school in advance to submit the required request.
