District Swimming

Congratulations to our small but determined swimming team for participating in Monday's Heidelberg District Swimming Carnival.

All competitors tried their best, and we are proud to report impressive results in their heats.

A special shout-out to our first-ever freestyle relay team. We had 2 of our girls swim up an age so we could enter a 12/13-year-old relay team.  The team finished 4th in this event. It was a great team effort.

Our Butterfly Queen does it again. Livinia finished in 2nd place in the 11-year-old butterfly event.

We wish Livinia all the best as she prepares to compete at the divisional level next Thursday.

Parent Helpers Needed – Grade 3–6 Athletics Day 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Our Grade 3–6 students are looking forward to a fantastic Athletics Day at Willinda Park and we would love your support to help make the day a success!

📅 Date: Monday 16th March

⏰ Time: 9:30am – 2:30pm

📍 Location: Willinda Park, Greensborough

Events like this simply can’t run without the wonderful support of our parent community. Whether it’s assisting at an event station, recording results, helping marshal students, or encouraging our athletes, your involvement makes a huge difference. The students absolutely love seeing familiar faces cheering them on!

If you are available to help on the day, please ensure you have a current Working with Children Check, as this is required for all volunteers and completed the school’s induction. (pop into the office and see Ally for assistance)

If you can lend a hand (even for part of the day), please email me: kelli.zealley@education.vic.gov.au.

Thank you in advance for your support — together we can make this a fun, active and memorable day for our students!

3. Cash (correct money) in an envelope with the completed order form

SRI News

Special Religious Instruction (Christianity) classes will be offered again this year. Peter Warwick and I are sharing the classes and we’re looking forward to seeing the children we know again and hopefully meeting some new children as well.

Parent permission forms for SRI have been sent home with the eldest child in the family. They are also available at the Office. Classes will be run weekly on Mondays after school from 3.45 – 4.15pm, and we will begin on Monday March 16th. The sessions explore the beliefs and values of Christianity through stories from the Bible, with games and activities to help us think and make it fun. Our aim is to cater for all ages, Prep to Grade 6, with some time allocated for age appropriate discussion and activities. If anyone has any questions about the SRI program, please don’t hesitate to give me a call.

This year we look forward to the possibility of an Islamic SRI Class.  If you are eager for your child to participate, then please complete the SRI form so we can establish who might be interested in attending.
