At the heart of St Patrick’s mission was his unshakeable belief in the Triune God, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. His famous Breastplate Prayer is not just poetry; it is a declaration of faith in the God who surrounds, strengthens, and sends us. Patrick understood that evangelisation is not merely about teaching but about revealing the living presence of Christ.

Captured as a teenager and taken to Ireland as a slave, Patrick encountered God in the silence of suffering. His years of prayer opened his heart to the Holy Spirit, who later called him back to Ireland not for revenge, but for conversion, reconciliation, and proclamation of the Gospel. His life is a testament to the Christian belief that God transforms hardship into mission.
For Catholics, St Patrick stands as a model of Courageous discipleship, Missionary zeal ,sharing the Gospel with humility and love, forgiveness and compassion where he returns to the very people who once enslaved him and Deep Trinitarian faith where he lived every moment in the presence of Christ. His witness reminds us that faith is not something we keep to ourselves, it is something we live, share, and embody.

Last week our school community gathered to celebrate the Feast of St Patrick, a day that holds deep significance in the Catholic tradition. While many people associate St Patrick with Irish culture and celebration, his true legacy is profoundly theological: he is one of the Church’s great missionaries, a man whose life was shaped entirely by the Gospel.

A heartfelt thank you to 4W and Mrs Vassallo for leading our school in a beautiful and
reverent St Patrick’s Day Prayer Service on Tuesday morning. Their thoughtful preparation, and sense of reverence helped our students enter deeply into the meaning of the feast of St Patrick.

This Thursday our school community will gather to celebrate the Feast of St Joseph, one
of the most significant solemnities in the Catholic Church. His life reveals a deep, contemplative faith rooted in trust, obedience, and unwavering love.
St Joseph stands at the heart of the mystery of the Incarnation. God entrusted him with the care of Jesus and Mary, inviting him into the very centre of salvation history. Joseph responded not with words, but with action he listened, discerned, and followed God’s will with humility and courage
The Church honours St Joseph as the model of obedience, responding to God’s call even when the path was unclear and as the Patron Saint of workers, reminding us that ordinary labour, done with love, becomes holy.

Joseph’s life shows us that holiness is often found not in dramatic moments, but in the quiet, faithful choices we make each day.
In a world that often values noise, speed, and self‑promotion, St Joseph offers a counter‑cultural witness. He teaches us to trust God’s plan even when we don’t fully understand it and to lead with gentleness, integrity, and compassion. His example invites our school community to live with purpose, humility, and a heart open to God.
A special thank you goes out to our Student Representative council for their outstanding service during our prayer service yesterday.
As we enter the most sacred days of our Christian story, our students will help lead us in prayerful reflection throughout Holy Week. Each service focuses on a key moment in Jesus’ journey to the Cross and invites our community into deeper understanding and reverence.

We will gather for prayer on the following days:
