Kangaroobie Camp: Farm, Fun, and Memories
What amazing Grade 5 and 6 students we have at HPS! It was so enjoyable to see their resilience and joy firsthand as we hiked to the beach and cooled down in the knee-deep water. The smiles and laughter of our students as they splashed around in such a scenic location was truly priceless.
Our students also fully participated in a lively Bush Dance on Wednesday evening. Despite some challenging weather conditions yesterday, they continued to demonstrate great grit and spirit. Throughout the week, they learned all about the daily operations of a working farm and pushed themselves well out of their comfort zones through a series of diverse challenges. It was inspiring to watch them tackle unfamiliar tasks with such courage and persistence.
These activities served as a powerful catalyst for teamwork, requiring our students to communicate effectively and support one another to achieve common goals. Most importantly, the time spent at Kangaroobie allowed everyone to bond more deeply and take away a collection of cherished memories.
A special thank you to our teachers—Lisa Pechiarri, Tania Kiddle, Greg Seach, Corey Tidd, and Kate Corcoran—and our parent volunteers—Paul Rodgers, Jackie Parry, Jazz Sandu, Kylie Vernon, and Anna Verschuur—who made this such a special time for our students.
Happy Easter
Wishing you all a very Happy Easter! For those of the Christian faith, this is a time of celebrating the resurrection and the promise of new beginnings. Regardless of your background, we all can connect to Easter's themes of hope and renewal. The egg, a symbol of new life and rebirth, reminds us of the potential for growth and positive change.
The upcoming Easter and Autumn break presents a perfect opportunity for quality family time. We hope this provides the time to relax, recharge, and create lasting memories together. On behalf of our whole team, we wish you a safe and fun holiday and a Happy Easter.
Enjoy!
Robbie and Tracy
