Information
Each year students at Oakleigh Primary School participate in the Premier’s Reading Challenge.
All students have been registered to take part in the challenge but entering the books needs to be done at home.
In the next few days students will receive their usernames and passcodes from their teachers. This will allow them to access their account on the Victorian Premier’s Reading Challenge and start to enter the books that they have read or experienced.
To complete the challenge and receive a certificate, students are required to read or experience:
Foundation to Year 2
- Number of books: 30
- Number of books from the Challenge book list: 20 or more
Year 3 to Year 6
- Number of books: 15
- Number of books from the Challenge book list: 10 or more
The challenge is not compulsory but as all students borrow books from the school library and have books read to them at school, the challenge should be achievable for all students. The deadline for entering books is 6th September 2024, so plenty of time.

I will be sending out reminders in the future and also information on how students can log into their library account online and see their borrowing history to help them remember which books they have read.
