Student Led Conferences

Parents will be able to make booking times through nMeeting, the new nForma interview platform form from 9am Tuesday 7th May . Parents should have already signed up to the nForma Portal. If this has not been actioned as yet, an Operoo was sent out earlier today to all families with information on how to sign up to he new Portal.

On Monday afternoon all families will receive an email explaining how to access the nMeeting to book an appointment for your SLC/Interviews. 

PLEAE NOTE: The bookings will open from 9.00am on Tuesday 7th May.

These Student-Led Conferences will be held on Monday 13th May, Tuesday 14th May and Thursday 16th May. They will be scheduled for 15 minutes each so that your child can discuss the goals they have been working on during Term 1, and their goals for Term 2. They will also allow some time for you to discuss your child's progress with the teacher alone, should you wish.

The students have been putting energy into setting goals for themselves, with the support of their teachers, specifically in the areas of Mathematics, Literacy, and Social and Emotional Learning. In a Student-Led Conference, a student meets with their family and teachers during which the student shares their learning with work samples and discusses progress with family members. This process creates an authentic purpose for good organisational and communication skills. The structure builds students’ sense of responsibility and accountability for their own learning, and it helps to hone their understanding of what it means to meet learning goals.
