Crazy Contraptions Incursion

In our Year 6 unit of inquiry, students embarked on an adventure into the world of scientific principles alongside Crazy Contraption, guided by the core values of the Primary Years Programme (PYP).

Through hands-on experiences, students embodied the PYP Learner Profiles of ‘Inquirer’ and ‘Thinker’. They asked questions, made connections, and thought critically about the scientific concepts they encountered.

As they tinkered and experimented, students developed not only their scientific skills but also their communication and collaboration abilities. They learned to listen to different perspectives, respect diverse ideas, and work together towards a common goal.

As students concluded their journey with Crazy Contraption, they left with a newfound appreciation for scientific inquiry, poised to apply their learnings in crafting their own scientific experiments in the coming weeks.
