Grade 5 Artvo Excursion

Recently, the Year 5 students embarked on an excursion to ArtVo and Docklands with the purpose of exploring this terms Transdisciplinary Theme – ‘How We Express Ourselves’. Our central idea for this unit is ‘Creating and responding to art develops understanding of ourselves and the world around us’. The students actively participated in capturing photographic imagery of sculptures and architectural landmarks of the Docklands precinct and the surrounding CBD. In doing so, students were able to learn about responding to visual and applied art forms. This will be further explored throughout the duration of the mini-exhibition task for the remainder of Term 2.
