PYP EVALUATION
Let’s celebrate! Our PYP evaluation was a huge success.
During our recent IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) evaluation visit, the entire school community came together to engage in thoughtful discussions about the core principles of the IB philosophy. Teachers all participated actively in conversations with our visiting team about our schools’ purpose, culture, environment, and learning practices aligned with the IB framework.
This collaborative effort didn't stop with our staff. A group of five parents joined the discussions, offering their perspectives and sharing positive feedback about the school's commitment to the IB philosophy. Their involvement demonstrated the importance of partnership between the school and its broader community in fostering an enriched educational environment for all our students.
Additionally, our Junior Student Council (JSC) members played a pivotal role in the evaluation process. They demonstrated their understanding of the IB learner profile by sharing their learning journeys and insights with Michael and Sunitha. Their articulate reflections showcased the impact of the IB approach on student growth and development.
As we reflect on this evaluation visit, it's evident that our school community's collective dedication to the IB philosophy continues to enrich the educational experience for our students, preparing them to become lifelong learners and global citizens.
Some of the highlights:
A big thanks you to Sunitha Yernagula and Michael Bowmer for their positive words and constructive feedback that will guide our future planning at Wales Street Primary School.
I would personally like to thank the staff at Wales Street for all their dedication and hard work to make this a successful evaluation.
Kind regards,
Luisa
