Our inquiry topic this term is about Economics and Business. Our essential question is, “How can I be smart with money?” A specific focus for this inquiry will be to investigate how the economy works, including the understanding of key terms such as needs, wants, goods, services, tax, supply and demand. Students will explore the history of money and design their own school currency. Near the end of the term, we hope that students will be able to produce their own small business selling a good or service (made from recycled or upcycled materials)  that meets a need,  in our classroom economy.
