Prep Police Visit:

The Police came to visit the preps this week. We learnt to call 000 in an emergency, that the police are here to help us and the community, and what uniform and equipment the police use.

Whole School Cross Country:

RNPS students took part in the Whole School Cross Country on Wednseday 24th April. They were lucky enough to get some blue skies for the event!

Asher Parsons Competes in the Victorian Interschool Equestrian State Championships

Asher Parsons represented the school at the recent 2024 Petstock Victorian Interschool Equestrian State Championships. She rode her horse Bob, known officially as Kooralyn Marley. 

First they were selected and asked to be part of Channel 9's 'Today Show' on Tuesday 9 April which aired nationally.

Then on Wednesday she took off with numerous schools across the state in the Primary Working Hunter. She had to complete in three phases; a rider section where her talents as a rider were tested and judged. Then she had a jumping section where she had to jump show jumps. The last phase involved a led stage where she had to dismount and run her horse. 

The scores were live scored, and keenly followed by spectators at the event, and following from home. She managed to win two of the phases; the rider section and the led. She came 7th in the jumping phase and outscored all other competitors to be sashed the overall champion. 

She was presented with sashes, a champion rosette and an embroided woolen rug. She also gained a ticket to be part of the Victoria Equestrian Insterschool Team, and represent her primary school and state at the Nationals Interschool event held in Queensland later this year.
