Celebration of Mums

I hope you all enjoyed this year's Mother's Day  and Special Person's Day celebrations. I had a wonderful brunch with my family, and my daughters truly spoiled me with beautiful cards and gifts. I hope you had a chance to sleep in.

Secretly, I miss the burnt toast and cold coffee with too many spoons of sugar. It's the thought that counts, and I believe that more and more each year.

Education Week

Education Week at GRPS was a vibrant celebration of science and learning, filled with engaging activities and events. Our focus on Education Week brought the community together through tour groups, an open night, and a spectacular science and technology extravaganza encouraging parents and students to be problem solvers together.

Science Dress-Up Day was a highlight, with students and teachers transforming into an array of brilliant characters. We saw scientists, weather elements, robots, zoo keepers, Lego masters, transformers, professors both mad and sane, wonderful insects, doctors, nurses and so much more...... A special mention goes to Oakley, who dressed up as an alien life form, and Mrs. Murray, who took on the role of an astronaut. The creativity and enthusiasm were truly inspiring.

The excitement continued with our Science and Technology Night, which was a great success. Classrooms buzzed with science experiments and activities, while outside, the enticing aroma of sizzling sausages filled the air. It was a joy to see families exploring the wonders of science together.

Thanks to all the parents who attended and supported these events. Your involvement and encouragement are invaluable in fostering a love for learning and scientific curiosity in our children.

Celebration of our Wonderful Extra Support Staff

On Monday we are organizing a morning tea of appreciation to thank our incredible Extra Support Staff. Every day, our ES make a significant difference in our students' lives. Whether it's offering extra help with lessons, providing emotional support, or creating a safe and welcoming space, their contributions are invaluable.

Our ES staff and their dedication ensures that every student gets the attention and care they need to succeed, and for that, we are so grateful.

Please join me in extending our thanks to our wonderful ES staff—Mardi, Jacki, Georgia, Nicole, Jenna, Dilini, Carol, Monica, Bron, Matt, Toni, Esther, Belinda, Grace, Helen, Di, Elaine, Hayley, Keily, Maddy, Carly, and Jack—for all they do every day.

Farewell

It is with mixed emotions that we announce Jenna's departure from our friendly office team. In less than a week's time, she will be returning to Park Ridge Primary School. While we are sad to say goodbye, we wish Jenna all the best in her new position.

We thank Jenna for her professionalism, kindness, and positivity she has brought to GRPS.
