This week, ten students embarked on their Adventurous Journey for Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards for the Duke of Edinburgh Program. Departing from Victoria Point, students sailed from the mainland to various islands in the Moreton Bay area, including Peel and Moreton Island. They navigated their way across the bay, learnt how to sail, and cooked their own meals. We are so fortunate to have these experiential learning opportunities at Clayfield, which can support the wholistic development of our students.
Semester 1 Co-Curricular Photo Day is occurring in Week 4 on Tuesday 7 May.
An email has been sent to parents who are Old Collegians requesting their child’s/children’s attendance for The Clayfield Family photo, please refer to this communication.
The Co-Curricular and Group lists are now available in Daily Notices for viewing and review. Please find the photo schedule and required uniform outline below for ease and convenience.
In Week 4, the Winter Uniform will be optional. This is except for Tuesday 7 May, where students will need to wear their Summer formal uniform including blazers for the Co-Curricular photos. In Week 5, the Winter uniform will be compulsory.
The Student Entrepreneur Weekend is a fun, dynamic event taking place during the last week of Term 2. Funded by the PMSA, participation is free and will give students the chance to collaborate with students from other PMSA schools, hear from industry experts, and put their problem-solving skills to the test.
Participants will team up to devise innovative solutions to real-world business problems. At the end of the weekend, they'll pitch their ideas to the industry partner who will judge which proposed action plan is the most effective. The winning team will get to explore their ideas further in collaboration with the participating organisation.
Elevate Education is a study skills provider who presents to our Year 7, 8 and 9 students as part of our Wellbeing and Foundations program. In Term 2 they will be offering four webinars to parents on a variety of topics.
