Term 1 in the Library
Term 1 has been a busy one in the Library!
We officially moved into our new Junior Library space, providing ELC to Year 4 students with their own dedicated area to explore and enjoy.
We also hosted the Senior School Readers’ Festival Charge Your Curiosity and introduced a new Library Skills program for Years 7 and 8 students.
Coming soon - Buddy Reading Program
Looking ahead to next term, we're excited to launch our Buddy Reading program, where Years 6 to 8 students will read with Prep to Year 2 students from 8.00 to 8.25 am.
This program is always a highlight of the year, fostering connections between Junior and Senior students through shared reading. We're still accepting Years 6 to 8 students as reading mentors, so click here to register your interest!
Term 2 reading challenges
Our Junior School Reading Challenge: Book an Adventure and the Years 7 and 8 Reading Challenge: Charge Your Curiositywill launch next term.
Each class will work together to complete the Challenge, supporting each other with encouragement and book recommendations. Details to follow early next term!
Holiday season book recommendations
As the holiday season approaches, it’s the perfect time to encourage your children to relax with a great book.
Reading for pleasure not only improves literacy and comprehension skills, but also fosters imagination, empathy and a lifelong love of learning.
We have curated a selection of wonderful books across all age groups to keep your child engaged and entertained during the break.
Happy reading!
