EVERYONE IS WELCOME AT SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP SERVICES

Worship services are held at 8.30am and 10.00am each Sunday and all are welcome to attend. The service types are traditional and contemporary respectively and on the first Sunday of each month we come together for one service at 9.30am with a blended style of worship. During the month of December, there will only be one service each Sunday, at 9.30am.

CHURCH CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS

The Church Christmas tree is up and decorated and this, together with the Advent banners and Advent wreath, is a sure sign that Christmas is close.

The main tree in the Church is covered in decorations known as Chrismons.  The word “Chrismons” means Christ’s monogram; symbols to represent the name of Jesus.  All Chrismons are made in combinations of gold and white beads. White is the colour used for joy, purity and perfection. The gold represents our Lord’s majesty and glory. The evergreen Christmas tree is a symbol of God’s constancy. The white lights on the tree represent Christ’s constant presence as the “light to the World”.

BIBLE VERSE OF THE WEEK

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy. It is for all the people. Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you. He is Christ the Lord.”         - Luke 2:10-11

PRAYER OF THE WEEK

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for being born into our world. Light up our hearts and our home this Christmas. Amen.

BLESSING OF THE WEEK

(Name) – May God’s favour rest on you, and may the Good News of Jesus’ birth bring you great joy.  Amen.

CHRISTMAS BLESSINGS

We welcome all school families to join us in celebrating the birth of Jesus at Christmas this year. A time for us to celebrate that our God is a God who wants to be so close to us that he came down to walk among us and was born as a helpless child. All done so “that we might have life and have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). Christmas is a time of great celebration and we pray that all families of St Paul, children and staff have a blessed Christmas, filled with the hope, joy, peace and love that Jesus freely gives.
