Congratulations

Congratulations to Alexander Htoo (56LB) and family on the arrival of his little brother, Honest.

We also welcome little Avery (born December 12) to Kirsty and Brendan, little sister to Parker (56LD) and Elijah (12MR).  Congratulations.

Student Awards (Week 8, Term 4) were presented at our Assembly held last Friday, December 14, 2024.

 

Foundation

  • Charlee Fisher (FSC) - ‘Help Others Succeed’ for being a kind friend by helping to look for a lost hat.  Thank you for being a beautiful friend, Charlee! 

  • Delilah Devereaux (FSC) - ‘Be Your Best’ for joining in activities with your 2025 class with a big smile on your face.  Well done, Delilah! 

  • Asher Clayton (FSC) - ‘Be Your Best’ for exceptional home reading!  Asher, well done on reading an incredible 260 nights this year!!  It’s no wonder that you have become such a super reader! 

  • Georgia Coe (FBW) - ‘Be Your Best’ for taking pride in your writing tasks and trying hard to hear all the sounds in words when spelling.  It is wonderful to see you trying your best and being proud of your efforts Georgia - fantastic work!

  • Tom McKenna (FBW) - ‘Be Your Best’- Thank you Tom for always having a positive attitude in the classroom and showing kindness to others.  You continue to use lovely manners and are polite and respectful of your friends and teachers.  What a delightful class member you are!

Year 1 & 2

  • Miles Ellis (12NW)- ‘Be Responsible’ for getting started quickly with your schoolwork and staying focused for longer periods of time. Miles, I’m so proud of how hard you are working. Well done. 

  • Harper Baird (12NW)- ‘Be Responsible’ for your excellent organisational skills.  Harper you’re always one of the first to become organised and this makes you use every minute of your learning time.  Well done. 

  • Amelia Kiel (12GM) - ‘Be Responsible’ for being an excellent role model in class and assisting others when required.  You always display amazing leadership capabilities.  Well done Amelia!

  • Hudson Venville (12GM) - ‘Be Your Best’ for your dedication and enthusiasm shown at Twisted Science in Echuca.  You tried your best in all activities and were very responsible throughout the day.  Well done, Hudson!

  • Bella Vuk (12GM) - ‘Be Your Best’ for consistently working hard in class and trying you best in all learning areas.  You are making some terrific growth Bella.  Well done!

Year 5 & 6

  • Pippa Shannon (56LB) - ‘Be Your Best’ for her amazing Inquiry presentation on Irish migration to Australia.  Pippa presented with a clear voice and an engaging PowerPoint that she should be proud of.  Well done, Pippa!

  • Peter Antoniadis (56LB) - ‘Be Responsible’ for always being organised and prepared for lessons.  Peter always strives to do his best and take ownership over his learning.  Well done, Peter!

  • Ben Carter (56EN) - ‘Help Others Succeed’ for always thinking of others and making sure his peers are looked after.  Thank you, Ben, for taking the initiative to organise a list with everything we needed for our excursion to Melbourne.  Great initiative!

  • Anu Jose (56EN) – ‘Be Responsible’ for the way she approaches each day with positivity, with a smile and a ‘Good Morning’.  This is greatly appreciated Anu.  Thank you!

  • Parker Gollan (56TD) - ‘Be Your Best’ for her engaging presentation on British migration.  Parker, you spoke clearly and researched effectively to provide great information.  Well done, Parker. 

  • Phillip Antoniadis (56TD) - ‘Be Your Best’ for planning and creating an imaginative Christmas picture story book based on Elf and Home Alone.  Well done, Phillip.

Hats on at St Joseph's - Reminder

“Hats On!” at St Joseph’s - At St Joseph’s Primary School, our SunSmart Policy notes that all children will be required to wear school broad brimmed hats from ‘Hats On Day’- September 1 to ‘Hats Off Day’ - May 1 whenever they are outside including sports lessons. However, if the UV is 3 or above it is recommended hats be worn for protection.  Children without hats will be required to remain in the outdoor eating area (green tables) at all times – ‘NO HAT, NO PLAY’ policy will be enforced.
