2025 Sacramental Dates

Throughout our students' time at COHR we focus on the sacraments at all year levels. At given year levels baptised Catholic children are invited to celebrate the sacraments. All students at the given year level will participate in the Reflection Days and all families are invited to attend the Family Workshops, regardless of if their child is receiving the sacrament or not.

 

Reconciliation

Students in Year 3 who are baptised Catholics are invited to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time on Tuesday 18th March at 6pm in the COHR Church. Information regarding the celebration of the sacrament of Reconciliation will be sent via Operoo.

 

Those children who wish to receive this sacrament are required to attend a Commitment Mass on Saturday 15th February at either 5:30pm  at Sacred Heart Church or 7pm at COHR Church.

 

Families are invited to a Family Night on Tuesday 25th February at 7pm at Sacred Heart Hall.

 

There will be a student Reflection Day on Monday 3rd March at COHR school.

 

First Eucharist

Students in Year 4 who are baptised Catholics and have received the Sacrament of Reconciliation are invited to celebrate the Sacrament of Eucharist for the first time on Sunday 15th June at 3pm in the COHR Church. Information about the celebration of this sacrament will be sent out later this term.

 

Those children who wish to receive this sacrament are required to attend a Commitment Mass on Saturday 3rd May at either 5:30pm  at Sacred Heart Church or 7pm at COHR Church.

 

Confirmation

Students in Year 6 who are baptised Catholics and have received the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist are invited to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation for the first time on Sunday 31st August at 2pm at St Patrick's Cathedral. As it is the Jubilee Year, Archbishop Comensoli has invited parishes to celebrate Confirmation in the cathedral. Fr Raju has accepted this invitation and so we will share this celebration with Sacred Heart and Holy Family, Doveton. Information about the celebration of this sacrament will be sent out in Term 2.

 

Those children who wish to receive this sacrament are required to attend a Commitment Mass on Saturday 26th July at either 5:30pm  at Sacred Heart Church or 7pm at COHR Church.
